If it does not preform properly you will loose both valuable fishing time and fish. The fishing line is gripped between the soft pads with variable release tension attained by moving the line in or out of the jaws. The line release is attached to either the weight or the cable.

GARBAGE. Don’t waste your money
Absolute trash. The low pressure o-ring (orange) broke and split and broke in half after less than two hours of installation. Don’t waste your time and money on these cheap Chinese o-rings. The OEM Honda o-rings are literally cheaper and light years ahead of these in quality
